a/c refrigerant low
Do you think your air conditioner is short on refrigerant or leaking refrigerant?
Your first clue may have been that the air conditioner is not cooling properly. If your a/c is not keeping the house cool it could be low on refrigerant for two simple issues. It could have been undercharged at installation or your air conditioner is leaking refrigerant.
In either case it’s time to call an air conditioning repair service. They will repair the leak in your air conditioning unit, then test to make sure the leak is repaired and then recharge the a/c system with refrigerant.
This is definitely a job for an air conditioning technician because air conditioners work best when the amount of refrigerant matches exactly to the manufacturer’s specs and fixing the leak/testing is for a novice. If the refrigerant is undercharged or overcharged the air conditioner’s performance will be poor and can cause problems in the future.
